Apple MacBook – Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6 GHz (13.3-inch)
The MacBook was first introduced in 2006 to replace the iBook and 12″ PowerBook series of notebooks. There have been two separate designs of the MacBooks that differ form one another by their exterior “finish”. The first MacBook model uses a polycarbonate casing and was modeled after the iBook G3/G4. The second introduced in October 2009 introduced a uni-body polycarbonate shell. The new polycarbonate unibody MacBook 1066 MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM SDRAM memory, a multi-touch trackpad, an LED-backlit display, and a built-in seven-hour battery. Similar to the polycarbonate unibody MacBookit lacks FireWire and similar to the 13″ MacBook Pro has a combined audio in/out port. The bottom of the 2009 MacBook features a rubberized non-slip finish. With 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1066MHz frontside bus and 2GB (two 1GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM expandable to 4GB this is powerful MacBook for the money and easy to upgrade with a new hard drive or RAM.
